Students will acquire knowledge of applied theory and concepts of the operation and maintenance of equipment utilized in custom application of crop protection products. Students will be prepared to take the CDL permit exam.
ASM 130. Agriculture Industry Machinery Operation
Credits: 2
Typically Offered: SPRING
Operation of skid and oscillating loaders, fork lifts, tractors, trucks, trailers, agriculture application equipment and other agribusiness equipment. Students prepare for commercial drivers license. Defensive driving taught.
ASM 175. Agriculture Industry Skills

The purpose of this course is to provide students the basic fundamentals and applications of agriculture industry skills in electricity, plumbing, selecting and using hardware, measurement, and structures.
ASM 244. Agricultural Machinery Technology
Credits: 2
Typically Offered: FALL
A study of electronic and hydraulic fundamentals used on agricultural equipment and how these systems operate in combination with precision agriculture technologies. Students will understand how these systems operate, their components, and basic troubleshooting. Students will also understand how to integrate precision agriculture technologies on agricultural machinery.
