Program Description

Students wanting to obtain a fast pathway into such career fields as a claims investigator, loss prevention representative, risk manager/analyst, sales agent/broker, underwriter, insurance agent, and customer service representative will benefit from the Certificate or Certificate of Completion in Insurance at Bismarck State College. Introducing the aspects of risk management and insurance, the Certificate or Certificate of Completion will be a first step in forging a career in this field.

Preparation

High school class suggestions include accounting and business, as well as an interest in insurance.

Program Requirements

Students completing the curriculum will receive an Insurance Program Certificate or Certificate of Completion. Many courses in the Certificate and Certificate of Completion may be applied toward an Associate in Arts or an Associate in Science degree, where the emphasis is business, an Associate in Applied Science degree in Management or Management Entrepreneurship, or a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Finance.
