Description
This certificate may be completed independently or alongside the Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Arts Entrepreneurship and Management. It provides focused training in key areas essential to managing and leading nonprofit arts organizations. Coursework includes grant writing and administration, nonprofit financial management, leadership and organizational strategy, fundraising and resource development, arts marketing, and culminates with a capstone experience.
Preparation
Students interested in this certificate should be resourceful, flexible, creative problem solvers, and have leadership qualities. Excellent writing skills, oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills are crucial to a successful career in nonprofit management.
Requirements
Students who complete the curriculum requirements receive a Program Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
