Description
The Small Business Entrepreneurship Program Certificate is designed as a stand-alone certificate for those interested in gaining or enhancing basic skills needed in running their own business or may be earned as they work on earning the Entrepreneurship or Integrated Studies Associate in Applied Science degrees.
Preparation
Students with a high school background in economics, accounting, communications, and marketing are well prepared. Many students are successful without having taken this concentration of classes.
Requirements
Students who complete the required coursework will earn a Small Business Entrepreneurship Program Certificate.

Career Opportunities
The goal of this curriculum is to provide an experience that creates insight into establishment of private businesses. It also gives students the skill to manage an existing business.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon graduation, Entrepreneurship students will be able to:
- Apply marketing, retailing, advertising, and E-Commerce to effectively launch successful businesses.
- Demonstrate knowledge needed to create and effectively pitch a business plan to prospective lenders and investors.
- Utilize business skills and knowledge by participating in cooperative education and/or supervised volunteer experience.
