3D Printing Technology

Program Description

The 3D Printing Technology Certificate of Completion offers a comprehensive introduction to the principles and applications of 3D printing. Designed for individuals eager to master the design, production, and refinement of 3D printed objects, this program prepares students for entry-level roles in industries that utilize this innovative technology.

Alongside the online curriculum, the program includes hands-on components where students will design and develop their own 3D printed products. Students can fulfill these requirements using personal 3D printers, or by accessing 3D printers available at the BSC campus or over 10 additional locations across North Dakota.

Program Requirements

Students who complete the curriculum requirements receive a Certificate of Completion in 3D Printing. The Certificate of Completion credits can be applied towards the Program Certificate in Additive Manufacturing.

Career Opportunities

Additive Manufacturing is growing in many areas including medical, dental, automotive, and construction. Employers and incumbent employees in these areas and others may have an interest in training to support this growing technology.
